ABOUT REDESDALE RIDING CENTRE

We took over Redesdale Riding Centre in May 2008 from the previous owners who had emigrated to France. The riding centre was completely closed down when we took it over and over time had become quite run down. Amongst getting rid of five derelict caravans and portacabins, the old stables had to be replaced, fencing replaced and a new arena built.

We have had help been regenerating the site from the National Park and Business Link. The National Park has helped fund the project and has enabled us the build the new stabling. With the new stabling we are able to house our horses which we use to take people out hacking and we also have stables available for livery.

The National Park has been working on new bridleways close to the centre so they were very happy that there would be people and horses around to make use of them. The bridleways and the improved centre means that we can take people out into the National Park and raise awarness of this beautiful area. (Link and logo to National Park website).

We have 13 horses to suit a range of sizes and abilities of riders from complete beginners to advanced. Our smallest horse is Sparkle, who is about 11HH and our biggest is Wilbur who is 18HH.
